Island Heart

• The island heart can be randomly obtained by killing the boss on the island.

• This is a timed island spawn.

• You can break open the egg just by mining it. 

• It will take around 15 to 20 minutes with a full channel of players. 

• Once you break open the egg, a smaller white egg will spawn.

• Out of that white egg, a boss will come out. Kill this boss for a chance at heart.

Island Heart

• The island heart can be randomly obtained from a reward chest from the island PvP quest.

• This is a timed island spawn.

• The quest starts 3 minutes after entry.

• Tombstones will spawn on the map and interacting with these tombstones will give a temporary attack buff.

• The quest ends after a total of 1500 points from all players are attained. 
• Kills give 10 points and assists give 5 points. 
• You will not receive a chest unless you have at least 30 points.

Island Heart

• The island heart can be randomly obtained from a reward chest from the island PvP quest.
  

• This is a calendar island.

• Refer to the map key below. Once the quest begins, mirrors will spawn at the stars. 

• Shrines will be at the pentagons. 

• Movement speed ether buffs will spawn at the blue circles, which grant 40% movement speed for 8 seconds. 

• Attack ether buffs will spawn at the red circles, which grant 100% attack power for 3 minutes.

• The goal is to reach 2000 points. A kill is worth 10 points and assists are worth 5 points.

• The main method of gaining points is by using the mirror and using the Q ability on the shrine. 

• Using this ability grants 12 points every 50% of the Q hold. Refer to the left GIF below.

• The W ability of the mirror also does an AoE knockdown but doesn't get you any points. Refer to the right GIF.

• Island heart can be received from the reward chest everyone gets.

• You also get a legendary ability stone and the Ether Evaporation II engraving.

Island Heart

• The island heart can be obtained by finishing a purple quest. 

• The purple quest can be received from Matthias on Sea Paradise Payto.

• This purple quest will take around an hour and 30 minutes.

• The 4th step in the quest can be quite confusing where you have to use a bomb with F5.

• Use F5 on the location of the character on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th pictures below.

Island Heart

• You must break ice pillars and spawn an ice statue to obtain the heart.

• To even get a chance at the heart, the pillar must not be broken with overkill damage. That is, if it has 10 health left and you do 11 damage, you won't even get a chance at getting the heart.

• Only once you break the pillar with no overkill damage, you will have a high chance of getting the heart.

• The pan you get from 2 Mark of Ignea rewards.

• Using the pan is the most ideal method of obtaining the heart since you can't overkill with 1 damage.

• Taking all your armor and accessories off and doing damage with your bare fists do 10 damage.

• Try to get the ice pillar as low as possible before trying to hit it with a pan or bare fists; reference below.

• Once you can't see any red left in the bar, that is when you use your fists or pan.

• The below 2 pictures are for reference for comparison.

• 1st has a tiny bar left and you can clearly see red in the 2nd.

Island Quest

• The purple quest obtained on this island is a continuation of the purple raid quests you receive on Dense Fog Ridge and/or Red Sand Desert.

• Red Sand Desert is located in Arthetine.

Island Heart

• The island heart can be obtained by completing the purple quest on the island.

• You enter the map at a random spawn location.

• Orient yourself by traveling towards any corner. Once you reach a corner, you can figure out where you are and then work your way around the map from there.

• The purple quest is received at the blue dot in the picture above.
  

• The purple quest requires you to go back to any one of the red dots in the corners.

• You must have the item whale oil in order to complete the purple quest to receive the Heart.

• Whale oil can be obtained by completing the Notos Island daily 6 times. 
  

• Whale watching may also grant oil on chance.

General Battle Mechanics

• Most of Hellgaia's attacks apply a burn debuff which can stack.

• Gaining too many burn debuffs will make your health disappear relatively quickly.

• Use a panacea in case that ever happens to remove the debuff.

• Every 40 to 50 seconds, Hellgaia will try to evolve. The team must use their impairment skills to interrupt.

• Hellgaia has two evolutions.

• Each successful break on an evolve attempt makes the next attempt by Hellgaia harder to break.

• Most teams on Korean release did 431, i.e. Break the first 4 evolves, let it evolve, break the next 3 evolves, let it evolve, break.

• I don't know how much easier it is to break Hellgaia now on RU.

• There are 3 phases, with the 2nd and 3rd phase adding a new move and an upgraded move.

• The sequence goes like this: 1st phase -> evolve -> 2nd phase -> evolve -> 3rd phase.

• After it evolves 2 times, it won’t try to evolve anymore. You must knock the boss ASAP.

• After you knock the boss, the boss will do a sky attack, then shout before running away.

• Having it run away resets it back to the 1st phase.

• If your team don't have enough impairment, consider doing 331 or maybe even less breaks.
• Other variations include 401, where you try and reset the boss asap to the 1st phase.
• This is because the sky attacks during 2nd phase are one of the most annoying attacks in his kit.

Swipes (2 Types)

• Tail swipe. Safe area is right up on Hellgaia's butt. The damage cone is away from the butt.
  

• Wing swipe. Again, the safe area is right on Hellgaia's butt.

Beak Attacks (2 Types)

• Single beak attack which sends you flying up to the bosses backside.

• Double peck on the ground which staggers.

Fireball

• Fires a projectile.

Charge

• If you're caught at the front, it will send you flying backwards at the end of the attack.

Moveset (2nd Phase) (Inherits 1st Phase Moveset)

Upgraded Fireball

• Single fireball turns into three.

Sky Attack

• If you're standing directly on Hellgaia's butt, you will have an annoying time trying to dodge this attack.

• Her body blocks you if you try dashing through her.

• Best to stay on the left side or right side of the butt.

• This way you can still back attack and dash perpendicular to the boss.

• This upgraded charge leaves a trail of fire.
  

• Hellgaia will slowly ascend into the sky and bombard you with fire. 
• Use the nearest ladder or rope to move to another area unless you're super confident in dodging its attacks. Its attacks won't hurt you there.
• After a short time it will land.
